REPORTING BACK
This week we did a testrun on spotify campaigns. They’re kinda cheap (much cheaper than any crypto stuff) and were pretty easy. The results are in and it appears to be a success.
We advertised 2 songs in 2 different countries.
1. That’s Crypto: targeted South Africa
- 23.7K views, ~600 clicks ,~100 streams. This is probably not great but idk maybe its normal cause I never click on those sponsored stuff.
- BUT, 11% of listeners saved the song to their playslists etc. which is pretty good.
- PLUS, average stream per listener is 1.15, which means many people listened to it more than once.
- so once people hear our music, they like it
2. Activated (@fxckbobby aka @retardmode): targeted Brazil
- 28.4K views, ~800 clicks, ~200 streams. So its better than the other one but still not great I’m guessing.
- 6% of listeners saved the song not as good as the other
- BUT, interestingly, stream per listener is 1.33, higher than the other. So I guess those who liked it, REALLY liked it.
CONCLUSION: we’re tryin to test n learn here. Overall brought 300 new listeners, plus the 100 we organically pulled, 400 listeners in one day is our 2nd best day so far.
Not sure the differences are cause of the songs or maybe cultural. Got another one scheduled in Brazil, this time with That’s Crypto, beginning in 2 days. Maybe we’ll have a better idea after that.
BONUS - MORE EXCITING PART
They also give stats on whether people checked out your other stuff after they listened to your song.
1. That’s Crypto: on average, listeners listened to one more song of ours after listening to it which is nice BUT
2. Activated: on average, listeners listened SEVEN 7 songs of ours after listening to it. Again idk if its the song or cultural we’ll see. But it actually gave a solid boost to our other songs as well, and they were also added to a bunch of playlists etc

Apparently that wasn't all of it and more listener numbers came in today. Same number of views and clicks but more listeners.
That’s Crypto: 23,777 views, 628 clicks , 176 listeners
Activated: 28,402 views, 836 clicks, 276 listeners
